  • Last weekend in July, festival in honor of the island's tradition of fishermen
• Summer Film School Šipan
  • Film festival and free workshops for kids under the mentorship of distinguished film professionals. Kids from the island as well as visitors produce their own films each summer and screen them in the open theatre under the stars. Many famous Croatian directors, cinematographers and actors have taught future filmmakers on Šipan: Hrvoje Hribar, Marija Škaričić, Boris T. Matić, Armin Omerović, Ognjen Sviličić, Zvonimir Jurić, Predrag Pređo Vušović, Damjan Kozole,  Pjer Žalica, Edo Lukman, Jasminka Ljubić - Bijelić, Brand Ferro, Petra Seliškar and others.
